Modernism was first introduced in the late 19th century. Modernism is the changing idea of art and how it changes to form new ideas over time. Modernism was a new idea and people were not used it and there were several people who loved the concept and several others who hated it. Modernism was so new when it was first created that a lot of people did not know how to react. Modernism changed a lot of things that people became accustomed to such as forms of art, architecture, literature, religious faith, philosophy, social organization, and activities of daily life. Things became outdated very fast when modernism first started because people were starting to adapt to the new idea and it left the nation shook. When modernism was first a “thing” it was an experiment to see how people would react, and whether their reaction would be positive or negative. The results varied from people loving it to people hating it but it quickly grew on and people started to love it. Modernism was first started to become a big idea in the mid 20th century although it was introduced in the late 19th. Modernism was introduced after World War I and that was a major part of how it became so popular so fast because it gave people a new way to represent their ideas and it gave them hope that there would be new ideas and that it would only get better from modernism. Modernism led to industrialization and urbanization and those were both branched off of modernism because modernism led to industrialization by the new ideas of construction and that led to builders making new buildings based off of the modernists ideas and it led to industrialization and urbanization. There were new styles and ways of making buildings that the architects abandoned their old ways and went with the new ones.
